Executive Chef Jabal Sole

Executive Chef Jabal Sole has been working in the food industry for as long as he can remember. Starting off serving food in a cafeteria he quickly learned that scooping food wasn’t for him and went to work immediately learning everything he could about cooking. He rose through the ranks over a 13 year tenure with the popular chain restaurant Bonefish Grill, opening locations in Chicago, Seattle and all over the state of Indiana winning awards like ‘Associate and Manager of the Quarter’ multiple times.  Chef Sole, didn’t attend a traditional cooking school, like many great chefs before him, he was self-taught and learned all of his skills on the job.

Just over a year ago, Chef Sole joined the culinary team at the JW Marriott Indianapolis as the Executive Chef for High Velocity and has loved every minute of it. “I like to have fun in the kitchen” says Sole “the team here at High Velocity is a fun group and make coming to work feel more like hanging with friends, cooking food I love than a job.” Chef Sole takes pride in what he create at High Velocity. “We’re not your typical sports bar; we don’t have that ‘out of the freezer, into the fryer’ mentality. Everything we make is from fresh, quality ingredients. We source as much as we can locally and cook from scratch, including our French Fries that are hand cut and made fresh daily in house.”

On his days off you can find Chef Sole spending time with his daughter and son, playing guitar or watching football.
